Portland Art Museum: Free Admission for Children

March 29th, 2009

Wow! It looks like do to a very generous endowment by Gordon D. Sondland and Katherine J. Durant the Portland Art Museum has begun to offer free admission to children under 17 years-old. (There may still be small fees for special exhibits.)

PAM is also planning on offering quarterly free “Family Days” where the whole family can spend the afternoon, or day, taking in the art for free.

This is great news and gives us here at Portland Walking Tours one more fun (and inexpensive!) way to spend quality time with the family. (They still haven’t figured out a way to make the kids take interest… but I’m sure they’re working on it.)
